But what happened to his great mentor Philip Burton? &nbsp;His biographer Angela V. John discusses how the erstwhile schoolmaster reinvented himself in mid-century America as a theatre director, ran a New York stage school, delivered lecture-recitals on Shakespeare across the States, wrote books and finally found his \u2019Significant Other\u2019. He spent his final decades in Key West. He continued to advise Richard behind the scenes.
