Fishguard Arts Society Exhibition

As well as a host of live events across the weekend, this year’s festival plays host to an amazing exhibition, courtesy of Fishguard Arts Society. Martha’s Gallery is now a much sort after space for artists, both local and further afield and we are delighted to have Fishguard Arts Society’s members joining our list across the festival window.

The exhibition has as its focus the work of Denys Short, or in his Bardic name Denys o’r Dinas.

We were inspired by Denys donating a number of his pre loved shaped canvases to members as part of his studio clearance. This became a homage to Denys as artists used the canvases to produce their own artworks.

The Fishguard Arts Society’s members include many talented artists whose work is displayed in local and regional galleries. This a great opportunity to buy or simply browse.

There is a Launch Event on Tuesday September 16th at 5:00pm, so please do come along and be one of the first to browse this wonderfully curated exhibition, which will run from September 16th through to October 28th, available to view as and when Theatr Gwaun is open to the public (check our What’s On page).
