On Land’s Edge Festival 2023 Ar Ymyl y Tir
This year’s On Land’s Edge Festival // Ar Ymyl y Tir in September promises another exciting blend of top-class artists and writers coupled with a wealth of incredible local talent, organisers have pledged.
Chairman Patrick Thomas said that building on the success of the 2021 and 2022 events, this year’s festival – featuring music, theatre, film, visual arts and sound – will offer ‘a bit of everything’.
“I’m delighted and proud that Theatr Gwaun is hosting this unique festival for a third successive year,” he added.
“We have an exciting set of events being planned for the weekend and in the run-up to September.
“On Land’s Edge/Ar Ymyl y Tir is really becoming an essential part of the cultural scene in West Wales.
“Highlights this year include singer-songwriter Eve Goodman, prize-winning authors Sophie Mackintosh and Jon Gower, the amazingly innovative Stone Club and the folk group Brewen Favraw from Britanny.”
“Artists, musicians, actors and writers from the local community will feature across the three days of the festival, and in other events leading up to it – so watch this space!
“Events will take place in the main base at Theatr Gwaun, in Ffwrn, Peppers and at outdoor venues all over Fishguard and Goodwick – and will be affordable.”
On Land’s Edge/Ar Ymyl y Tir is a festival of all the arts – music, theatre, film, literature, the visual arts and more besides, and a celebration of North Pembrokeshire – the place and the people who live here.
Having launched in September 2021, the festival was held again in September 2022 with a bigger budget thanks to Arts Council funding, and more events.
The theme of this year’s festival will focus in particular, but not exclusively, on the theme of ‘journeys’.
